Ms. Jessica Shaheen is the Communications Department chairperson, head of IHA’s TV Studio, and the academic coordinator of the St. Clare of Assisi Communications Schola. She is also the moderator of Get Reel! and heartTV, presented by WIHA. Ms. Shaneen has a bachelor’s degree in communications (TV/Radio/Film) from The College of New Jersey and a Master of Arts degree in media studies from The New School. 

Ms. Shaheen began her editing career in 2005 as an assistant editor on the Emmy-winning Outstanding Children’s Series, Assignment Discovery, which aired daily on the Discovery Channel. She also edited and produced graphics for a local NY ABC affiliate for two and a half years. Before joining IHA, Ms. Shaheen ran technical workshops and helped assist students and faculty in all aspects of film and video production for the Communications Department at Adelphi University in Garden City, Long Island.
