The IHA uniform must be worn from the opening of school in September through the closing of school in June. It consists of a plaid kilt, white shirt, green sweater or black uniform fleece, green socks, brown shoes, and ID card. Sneakers are not permitted. Seniors wear a green cardigan sweater. Only plain white T-shirts may be worn underneath the school shirt. The uniform skirt length should be just at the knee. Short skirts are not permitted. 

Tattoos, facial jewelry (nose/tongue rings, etc), piercings, and unnatural hair colors (including streaks, ombre, etc.) are not permitted at any time during school or at any school-sponsored function. No excessive or inappropriate jewelry is permitted. 

The uniform shirts and black fleeces can be purchased at the IHA Campus Shop. All other uniform apparel must be purchased through FlynnO’Hara Uniforms at 473 Old Hook Road in Emerson, N.J.  View this helpful flyer from FlynnO’Hara for information on how to order your uniform.

Students must wear the IHA Physical Education uniform and athletic sneakers for all physical education classes.
