Mr. Dennis O’Brien is a social studies teacher at Immaculate Heart Academy. He holds two advanced degrees, including an M.S.Ed. in education and an M.A. in Franciscan studies from St. Bonaventure University. His career includes developing interdisciplinary curricula at various schools as well as international teaching in Japan, where he spent nine years teaching and managing language schools throughout the Greater Osaka-Kobe region. 

 

A dedicated educator with over 20 years of teaching and leadership experience in history, economics, theology, and English, Mr. O’Brien blends academic rigor with a passion for student mentorship. He has taught Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses at the secondary level and directed honors seminars.

 

Originally from Allegany, NY, in the Diocese of Buffalo, Mr. O’Brien remains active in parish life, combining scholarship, Faith, and service to inspire lifelong learning.
