Mrs. Catherine Taveras is a mathematics teacher at Immaculate Heart Academy and also the moderator of the Math League. She graduated cum laude from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science degree and majored in adolescent education with a concentration in mathematics.

Mrs. Taveras spent three years teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II at a missionary school in the Turks & Caicos Islands. “I am excited to guide young women on this journey of faith and learning,” she said. “I hope to instill in them the same love for math and learning that motivates me.”
