North Jersey Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to Madisyn Abella ’28 on being named the North Jersey Female Athlete of the Week in November 2026.

According to northjersey.com, “Abella, a junior from Franklin Lakes, scored her team-leading 27th goal of the season on a spectacular header in the Bergen County girls soccer final as the Blue Eagles downed nationally-ranked Ramsey. The win shook up the New Jersey girls soccer world, and earned Abella the North Jersey Female Athlete of the Week honor, presented by HSS.”

Madisyn, who has been playing soccer since she was 5 years old, told northjersey.com that IHA is the perfect school for her, “I wanted to be in an atmosphere where I felt welcome and wanted, and I liked the sisterhood and the soccer program. I love IHA for the school, and soccer was just a part of that.”

IHA is so proud of Madisyn and all that she has accomplished with IHA Soccer!
