National Honor Society Induction

On the evening of January 28, 2026, an Induction Ceremony was held for IHA’s chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS). In order to be inducted into the NHS, junior and senior students must be recognized by the faculty and administration for outstanding achievement in four areas: scholarship, character, leadership, and service. All students are also required to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.7.

 

The NHS induction ceremony opened with an invocation led by Anne Moore ’26, NHS executive board member; a welcome message from Miss Kerry Carroll ’04, IHA principal; and congratulatory remarks from Olivia Valente ’26, NHS president. NHS executive board members then led a candle-lighting ceremony, followed by the induction of new members by Cavan Clancy ’26, NHS vice president. Alana Flores ‘26, NHS executive board member, led the newly inducted members in the Honor Society pledge. Inductees then listened to a keynote address by Mr. Jason Schlereth  P’27, ’28, IHA president. The ceremony concluded with Tara McCarthy ’26, NHS secretary, singing the IHA Alma Mater, accompanied by Danica Libanan ’26.
