Health Services and Requirements
At Immaculate Heart Academy, we believe that a student’s overall health plays a critical role in her success in school. Our health office offers services and support to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of each student. Health services at IHA are provided by the school nurse, Mrs. Nicole St-Onge ’06, in collaboration with the school physician, Dr. J.C. Mendler.
Students accepting admission to Immaculate Heart Academy are responsible for meeting all state and school medical requirements.
These requirements include:
1. A copy of the student’s immunization record
2. An annual summer physical examination
-
All students must have a Physical Examination between May 1 and September 1.
-
Fall athletes must complete the Physical Exam by August 1. All athletes must also submit the required Medical Eligibility Form each season.
If a student is in need of a physical exam between those dates, they are able to schedule a low-cost exam with the school physician J.C. Mendler at the Holy Name Hospital Fitness Center in Oradell. Please call 201-833-3909 and identify your daughter as an IHA student in need of a physical exam for more information.
If you have any questions regarding the Medical Admissions Requirements of Immaculate Heart Academy, please contact the school nurse, Mrs. Nicole Keller St-Onge ’06, B.S.N., R.N., with any questions or concerns at 201.445.6800, ext. 129 or nstonge@ihanj.com.
