IHA Named to 2025 AP® HONOR ROLL

Immaculate Heart Academy has been named to the prestigious 2025 Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) School Honor Roll by the College Board.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose programs broaden participation in AP courses and deliver results for their students. Schools can earn this recognition each year based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.

Immaculate Heart Academy had 82% of seniors who took at least one AP Exam during high school, earning IHA the platinum level for this distinction, and 59% of seniors who scored a three or higher on at least one AP Exam, also earning IHA the platinum designation.

According to Mrs. Jeannine Woolley, director of studies and AP coordinator at IHA, “Our rigorous and extensive curriculum prepares students for college-level work as we continue our initiative to broaden participation in our numerous AP and dual-enrollment courses. We currently offer 24 AP courses and 14 dual-enrollment opportunities with various colleges, enabling our students to earn college credits and experience with college-level work. We are proud of how our students have risen to the challenge, and we plan to add further opportunities as we broaden this initiative to expand our course offerings for students.”

Immaculate Heart Academy has been named by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, and also holds an impressive dual accreditation by the Middle States Association of College and Secondary Schools and New Jersey Association of Independent Schools (NJAIS). IHA is the only Catholic school in Bergen County to have this dual accreditation. The school’s high-quality programs, superior facilities, and accomplishments of its high-achieving young women are second to none, as witnessed not just by the $38 million in scholarships members of the Class of 2025 received or their 100% college acceptance rate, but by the lifetime achievements of alumnae who continually credit the strong foundation they received at IHA.

“Congratulations to this year’s AP School Honor Roll recipients for proving it’s possible to expand participation in these rigorous courses and still drive strong performance,” said Trevor Packer, head of the AP program. “AP gives students the opportunity to engage with college-level work, earn college credit and placement, and build professional career skills they can use no matter what path they choose after high school.”
