Saint Joan of Arc Center

In 2025, IHA was excited to introduce The ARC, a new multi-use space for wellness and college counseling. The name is inspired by St. Joan of Arc, a young woman who showed incredible courage, followed her calling, and inspired others through her actions. We are grateful to our generous community, who made this renovation possible with donations to our successful Fund-a-Need at IHA’s 65th Anniversary Gala.

The ARC, used by the Guidance and College Counseling Departments, will be used for students to attend college visits and workshops, take part in group guidance meetings, and enjoy mindfulness and wellness activities. Clubs may also hold meetings in the ARC, and when there is not a scheduled event, students can use the space to simply take a break or spend quality time with friends. They will find bracelet-making kits, serenity stones, coloring books, journals, puzzles, and games, along with calming music and videos to help them relax and recharge.

The name “The ARC” stands for Ask, Reflect, and Connect, reminding students to:

  • Ask questions and seek guidance

  • Reflect on who they are and who they want to become

  • Connect with one another to build a stronger sense of community

We know students will embrace these objectives and that The ARC will become a favorite spot on campus for everyone!
