United in Faith & Community @theheart
Catholic Schools Week 2026 was a powerful reminder of the faith and community at IHA. We began the celebration with a Big Sister/Little Sister Pep Rally hosted by the officers of the freshman and sophomore classes. Students were dressed in blue and white and had a blast playing wheelbarrow relay races, teacher and IHA trivia, and a baby photo guessing game. Freshmen and juniors were treated to a special treat from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and sophomores and seniors enjoyed cookies from Cookie Connect.
On Thursday, we hosted our first-ever Student vs. Faculty Olympics. The entire school gathered together for some friendly competition in basketball, bowling, and floor hockey games, as well as a hula hoop contest and football ring toss. During the pep rally, students and staff were treated to a spectacular performance by the IHA Dance Team!
We also celebrated Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day on Thursday with a delicious lunch from Clemente Bakery. Thank you to the IHA Parents’ Club for coordinating this special day for our entire staff.
On Friday, we honored our students with Student Appreciation Day. Students enjoyed a Spirit Wear day and the IHA administration was happy to deliver a special treat to everyone during lunchtime. The week culminated with a beautiful Mass on Friday, presided by Fr. Jakov Vidov. It was a perfect way to conclude our celebration of faith formation, community building, and service to others.
As part of Catholic Schools Week, IHA also participated in its annual charity drive. This year, students and staff supported the organization Pencils for Pula by bringing in school supplies to help support students and teachers in need.
