• GRANTS FROM YOUR DONOR-ADVISED FUND (DAF): A DAF provides you a simple, tax efficient, and convenient method to support IHA.
• IRA GIFTS; QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTIONS: If you are 70 ½ or older and have a traditional IRA, you can direct up to $105,000 from your IRA directly to IHA in a tax-efficient manner.

Over the past few years, our 50th Jubilee classes have begun a Sponsor-a-Student tradition. Once donations have been pledged and collected, usually during Reunion planning, a student receives a partial scholarship for four years to offset her tuition.

We thank our “Sisters from the 60s” for their support over the past few years and encourage ALL anniversary classes to make a gift to support the IHA Scholarship Fund through Class Giving. Gifts can be made via check made out to IHA with “Class Giving” in the memo.

Many alumnae write in to tell us how thankful they are to their parents for providing them with the opportunity to attend Immaculate Heart Academy. With tuition costs climbing, please assist us in giving a well-deserving student in financial need that same opportunity.

Our Pave the Way Bricks Program is an ongoing fundraiser where community members are able to purchase engraved bricks.

Hundreds of bricks have been purchased by students, alumnae, teachers, family, and friends to be placed in either the Courtyard Walk or the Sports Walk of Fame.

Please note: all bricks are installed once a year, typically in the spring.

Courtyard Walk

The Courtyard Walk, located at the entrance to the science wing, is filled with more than 1,000 bricks thus far.

Courtyard Walk Bricks are available in three size options:

• 4 x 8 for $250 (1-3 lines of text with 13 characters for each line, including spaces and punctuation)
• 12 x 12 for $350 (1-3 lines of text with 16 characters for each line, including spaces and punctuation)
• 12 x 12 for $550 (4-6 lines of text with 16 characters for each line, including spaces and punctuation)

Sports Walk of Fame

The Sports Walk of Fame begins at the patio overlooking the field and continues with steps leading down to the field level. The area houses only 9 x 9 bricks. Celebrate that special sports moment; honor a coach, player, or fan; or record a team milestone or victory!

Sports Walk of Fame Bricks are available in two size options:

• 9 x 9 for $350 (1-3 lines of text with 14 characters in each line, including spaces and punctuation).
• 9 x 9 for $450 (4-6 lines of text with 14 characters in each line, including spaces and punctuation).

The Office of Advancement team works to keep in touch with alumnae, collaborates with the IHA Parents’ Club, organizes special events, and creates and manages fundraising initiatives throughout the school year. If you are interested in volunteering for events or would like to be a fundraising ambassador, please contact Sarah Frasure ’07. Throughout the school year, the Office of Advancement hosts annual fundraising events as opportunities to gather the IHA community together, as well as raise money for critical funds necessary to the advancement of our school.

Annual events such as the Blue Eagle Open, the Beefsteak Dinner, and our Handbag event are special opportunities for our current and past parents, students, faculty and staff, and alumnae to engage with the community and demonstrate their commitment and dedication to IHA.

For our growing alumnae community, our Traveling Plaid events are a wonderful time for former classmates to reunite and reconnect. Classes celebrating their 50th Anniversary enjoy a weekend of celebrations and events that create moments of nostalgia amongst alumnae and new memories of their alma mater.
