Mrs. Terry Skjold Named GDL Champion

For Mrs. Terry Skjold, teaching driver education is about far more than learning the rules of the road and passing the written test. Instead, this dynamo is laser focused on ensuring her Immaculate Heart Academy students develop driving behaviors and practices that will keep them safe throughout their lifetime.

Mongelli's and Miller's Last Bus Duty

Mrs. Lauretta Miller and Mrs. Lorraine Mongelli recently served their last Bus Duty EVER. We will miss these two terribly when they retire at the end of this school year!

Summer@theheart

Immaculate Heart Academy will host various summer enrichment courses and workshops through its popular Summer@theheart program. Courses are open to both boys and girls of various age levels.

Walkathon for Human Trafficking Awareness

Members of IHA's SAMS Club and St. Brigid Society took part in a ‪walkathon‬ on Saturday morning, May 16, at the Saddle River Duck Pond in Ridgewood to raise awareness about human trafficking. They were joined by St. Brigid's moderator, Ms. Donoghue. Great job, ladies!

IHA Arts Festival 2015

The IHA Arts Festival, held on April 30, 2015, was a culmination of all of the hard work and artistic achievements of the students involved in the fine and performing arts. Guests were given the opportunity to browse the work of artists of all grade levels before a beautiful concert with performances by the symphony orchestra, concert band, hand bell choir, Voices, and the IHA rock band.

Art@theheart 2015

On April 23, 2015, the Immaculate Heart Academy National Art Honor Society held Art@theheart an art exhibition celebrating the work of students in grades five through eight.

White House Recognizes 59 IHA Students for Community Service

Immaculate Heart Academy has always been a school that has prided itself on young women with a commitment to living the Gospel message in the 21st Century. Year after year, IHA’s students spend countless hours giving of their time and talent at the service of the most vulnerable members of our society.

In Memory of Ms. Marilyn Rich

January 18, 1948 – March 2, 2015

Ms. Marilyn Rich began her career at IHA in September of 1969 after graduating from Rosemont College. At twenty-one years old, she was just a few years older than the seniors she taught.
