It was a special year for IHA Track & Field, as seven school records were broken and numerous championships were won. For the second consecutive year, the Blue Eagles went undefeated in dual meet competition; won the Comet Relays, Bergen Relays, the league title, and the Bergen County Championship; and again won the Non-Public A North Championship in addition to placing second in Non-Public A. Maegan Feeney’22 broke a thirty-year-old school record in the 100 meter hurdles and Lauren Dunnigan’23 broke a thirteen-year-old school record in the triple jump. At the Bergen Meet of Champions, Leanna Johnston’23 won the 3200 to move to #2 in school history and Abigail Romero’24 won the long jump. At the Outdoor Nationals in Philadelphia, Maegan Feeney’22, Lauren Dunnigan’23, Kate Shepler’24, and Niki Matthews’22 placed fifth in the country in the 4x100 shuttle hurdle relay to earn All-American Status. Leanna Johnston’23, Maegan Feeney’22, Lauren Dunnigan’23, and Abigail Romero’24 were also selected First-Team All-Bergen County.
