Current Open Positions
IHA faculty and staff positions are fantastic opportunities to join a collaborative and supportive community. Listed below are the current positions that are available, which include several teaching positions, assistant principal for students, and CDL driver.
Theology Teacher
Immaculate Heart Academy seeks a full-time theology teacher beginning in September 2025. A degree in theology and teacher certification are preferred.

Science Teacher
Immaculate Heart Academy seeks a full-time chemistry teacher beginning in September 2025. A degree in chemistry, teaching experience, AP experience, and teacher certification are preferred.

Social Studies Teacher
Immaculate Heart Academy seeks a full-time social studies teacher beginning in September 2025. A degree in history, teaching experience, and teacher certification are preferred.

Mathematics Teacher
Immaculate Heart Academy seeks a full-time mathematics teacher beginning in September 2025. A degree in mathematics, teaching experience, and teacher certification are preferred.

Theatre Teacher 
Immaculate Heart Academy seeks a part-time theatre teacher beginning in September 2025. Teaching duties include teaching theatre arts and theatre production classes. Teaching experience in a secondary school setting is preferred.

Spanish Teacher
Immaculate Heart Academy seeks a full-time Spanish teacher beginning in September 2025. A degree in Spanish, teaching experience, and teacher certification are preferred.

The assistant principal for students serves as a key member of the administrative team at Immaculate Heart Academy, supporting the school’s mission by embracing its Catholic values and fostering a positive, structured, and supportive student experience. This role ensures a strong program of student discipline, engagement, and school culture while providing guidance and leadership to both students and faculty. The assistant principal for students primarily focuses on the needs, concerns, and activities of students outside of the academic realm, working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administration to create a thriving school environment.


The assistant principal for students reports directly to the principal and works in consultation with the assistant principal for academics, director of guidance, director of campus ministry, admissions director, and athletic director to uphold the integrity of student life at IHA and to support the holistic formation of students.

Qualifications & Skills

  • A Master’s degree in education, educational leadership, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of teaching or administrative experience in a high school setting.
  • Strong understanding of student development, discipline policies, and faculty support.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, faculty, and families.
  • Commitment to fostering a faith-based learning environment rooted in Catholic values and the school's mission.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Catholic school setting.
  • Familiarity with student leadership, extracurricular programming, and community-building initiatives.
  • Knowledge of restorative justice and student-centered discipline approaches.

Key Responsibilities

Student Life & Discipline
  • Oversee student discipline, behavior, and attendance, ensuring that school policies are implemented fairly and consistently.
  • Promote a positive school culture, encouraging personal responsibility, leadership, and respect among students.
  • Collaborate with the guidance and counseling teams to address student concerns and social-emotional needs.
  • Implement restorative justice practices and other student-centered approaches to discipline when appropriate.

Faculty & Staff Collaboration
  • Conduct faculty observations and classroom walkthroughs to support professional development and instructional excellence.
  • Work with teachers to develop classroom management strategies that align with the school’s mission and values.
  • Assist in the implementation of staff development initiatives to enhance student engagement and success.

Student Engagement & Leadership
  • Serve as an advisor and mentor to student leadership organizations, student government, and club moderators.
  • Plan and oversee school traditions, assemblies, and student-led initiatives to promote a strong sense of community.
  • Partner with the Campus Ministry team to encourage student involvement in faith-based service and leadership opportunities.

Admissions & Enrollment
  • Serve as a key member of the Admissions Committee, collaborating on enrollment decisions, admissions interviews, and outreach efforts.
  • Support the admissions director in planning Open Houses, accepted student events, and shadow days.
  • Assist in developing strategies for attracting, enrolling, and retaining mission-aligned students.

Event Planning & School Operations
  • Organize and oversee commencement activities and student recognition events, ensuring a meaningful experience for students and families.
  • Manage the school-wide calendar, coordinating academic, extracurricular, and administrative events.
  • Work with the administrative team to revise and update school policies and procedures as needed.

School Leadership & Collaboration
  • Serve as a key advisor and support to the principal, assisting in strategic planning, decision-making, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the athletic, academic, extracurricular, and campus ministry teams to ensure students receive well-rounded opportunities for growth.
  • Foster a strong sense of sisterhood, integrity, and service, in alignment with IHA’s Catholic values.

CDL Driver
