The purpose of the event is multifold: to give the SNHS students an opportunity to research an area of the sciences that interests them and experience presenting those research findings as they would at an academic conference in college/grad school/careers, to give IHA students not in the SNHS the experience of attending such an academic conference, and to promote women in the sciences.

 

The Research Poster Session will simulate the setting of an academic conference poster presentation, where scientists present their research findings that they published in academic journals that year to their colleagues in a poster presentation. There will be an informal walk around of attendees with mini-presentations conducted by the poster maker.
