IHA Engineering Students Visit Academy of St. Paul

The IHA students, who were joined by engineering teacher and information management specialist, Mrs. Alice Nudelman, presented what they do in the engineering course at IHA. Nicole presented to the youngest students from pre-k through third grade, and Meghan to the older students in fourth through eighth grades. The presenters touched on how the engineering class members use the design process to brainstorm, utilize concept sketching, build and test prototypes, and then analyze test data.

Nicole and Meghan were also guest judges of fifth through eighth grade students’ projects at the STREAMS Fair. The projects tackled world-wide problems and how to solve them as they relate to Science, Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Art, and Math. Thank you to Mrs. Christine Gysin, Nicole’s mother, science teacher, and STREAM Fair coordinator, for her assistance in organizing this educational day with Immaculate Heart Academy.
