Vex Robots Donated to Sacred Heart School

Four Vex robot kits were donated to Sacred Heart School by Immaculate Heart Academy as part of the Google Moonbots competition.

The Sacred Heart students were grouped into four "missions" representing the planets Pluto, Saturn, Mars, and 186-f, a planet recently discovered by NASA's Kepler Space Telescope. The students of IHA and Sacred Heart have collaborated on a proposed mission based on their planets, which will be programmed into the four Vex Robots at a future meeting. A "twin" robotics club has been planned by Mr. Eric Reid, vice principal of Sacred Heart, to facilitate this ongoing project throughout the school year.
