1973 Alumnae Starts Giving Hope Charity

Jenna Laumer was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in April 2009. She died five years ago, on January 19, 2010 at the age of 27.

After Jenna's journey ended, Michele started a Giving Hope charity called Jennarosity at the hospital where her daughter was treated. Giving Hope is Cincinnati Children's Hospital's community philanthropy program and is an easy, effective, tax-deductible way to make a difference, one life at a time.

The Jennarosity page reads, "So how can you Give Hope? By making a tax-deductible donation to this Giving Hope online fundraiser in Jenna's memory, you will be directly helping support the patient and family wellness network that will benefit young adults like Jenna currently being treated in the cancer and blood disease institute at Children's."

Michele's IHA classmate, Kit Flach Adcock'73, writes, "Michele was our highly energetic class president whose initiative and drive enabled us to stray from the traditional senior class trip to D.C. to a life-changing adventure in Bermuda. This woman knows how to think big. I hope her classmates and friends from IHA would rally to this cause."
