NHS Quarter 2 Awards Announced

For the second quarter of the 2022-23 academic year, congratulations are extended to:

Leadership
Grace Coughlin’23: Grace is a natural leader within the IHA community. She helped to start IHA’s Eagle’s Nest, the school’s student section that encourages students to attend sporting events and helps to spread school spirit. Grace is also a member of Science National Honor Society and the IHA Varsity Volleyball team, of which she was a captain this year. Grace constantly inspires those around her to become involved in the school community and support the sisterhood!

Service
Madison McKay’23: Madison is dedicated to serving those around her, especially in the IHA community. She is the service president of Christian Service Board, of which she has been a dedicated member for three years. Madison also helps to coordinate Midnight Runs and organize various Campus Ministry events. Madison also gives her time to volunteer within her local community and she is selflessly always thinking of others.

Character
Leanna Johnston’23: Leanna is a talented, caring, dedicated, and hardworking individual who possesses the qualities of someone whose character should be recognized. She has many accomplishments both in school and on the track, but she continues to stay humble. Leanna never fails to brighten someone’s day and always takes the time to recognize others’ accomplishments. Her hard work has paid off and we know she will continue to bring these qualities with her as she continues her education at Columbia University in the fall.

Scholarship
Kate Menake’23: As a member of the STEM program, Kate has truly excelled academically at IHA. Not only is she an important contributor to her AP classes, but she is a member of Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics National Honor Society, Rho Kappa Social Studies National Honor Society, and Science National Honor Society. She is also a very talented gymnast who spends hours after school at practice, leading her to successful time management. Kate’s dedication to her academics is an inspiration to the rest of the IHA community.
