Winter Track Dedicates County Relays Win to Ms. Gansley

The team dedicated its Non-Public A victory to Ms. Lynn Gansley, IHA theology teacher who passed away on January 18, 2023.

For the second consecutive year, Leanna Johnston’23 won the Most Outstanding Athlete Award. Her leadoff leg in the 4xMile was 5:00.97 and her leadoff leg (1200) in the DMR was 3:42.3. The Blue Eagles won the meet with 64 points, claiming victory in nine out of the 12 events. The 4x200 team of Olivia Tacconi’23, Abigail Romero’24, Sophia Reina Ditchfield-Agboh’24, and Anabella Martino’23 not only placed second in Bergen County, but also qualified for Nationals in 1:49.94. It's off to either Boston or NYC! Abigail Romero’24 also had the furthest long jump out of any athlete. Angelica Cece’24 had an indoor personal best of 19'9 and Catherine Goldstein’23 threw 29'3.
