St. Brigid Society Alumnae Career Panel

The IHA graduates presented to more than fifty St. Brigid Society sophomores, moderated by Ms. Ellen Donoghue'76, IHA guidance counselor, after enjoying lunch together in the Information Commons.

The students heard from, left to right in group photo, Kasey Murphy’13, Francesca Tomesco’15, Kathleen Donohue Wright’07, Elizabeth Mathis'16, Michelle Kaminski’16, Lisa Fuhrman’05, and Megan Brockmeier’17.

Kasey Murphy’13, a 2016 Seton Hall University graduate, is the director of clinical operations for Perry Health, a healthcare-tech startup that is focused on chronic care management. Perry focuses on remote patient monitoring for diabetic patients with limited access to in-person care due to their insurance, location, or age. Kasey has worked in multiple healthcare startups during her career, one of which went public, One Medical, where she spent her time on service design for new programs such as women’s health, virtual pediatrics, and mental health, and the creation of general workflows and strategies to make clinical teams more efficient.

Francesca Tomesco’15 graduated from Kean University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in science and technology with a focus in molecular biology and biotechnology. She is currently a scientific solutions specialist for Sanguine Biosciences. The company provides fresh human samples to laboratories and allows them to receive real world data. Francesca advises researchers and pharmaceutical companies on the best study design for their projects. She participates in feasibility meetings and marketing, and acts as the liaison between customers and the product team.

Kathleen Donohue Wright’07, a 2011 graduate of Fordham University, is the production director of Macy’s Branded Entertainment, a department within Macy’s responsible for overseeing the production of the brand’s large scale annual events: The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks, The Macy’s Flower Show, and Macy’s Santaland & Holiday Operations across the country. Kathleen is responsible for the logistics, planning, and citywide coordination of each event and she oversees a team of producers who handle different aspects of each event. One of the most exciting aspects of her job is managing the Balloon Program for the Thanksgiving Day Parade—from the balloon production, to engineering analysis of each balloon, to staffing each balloon with volunteers for Parade morning.

Elizabeth Mathis’16, a member of the St. Brigid Society when she was at IHA, double-majored in biology and economics at Hamilton College. During her collegiate career, she was also a member of the varsity women’s soccer team, a developmental biology TA, a tour guide, and an on-campus certified EMT. Following graduation, she began working in emergency veterinary medicine and decided to apply to veterinary school. She currently works as a veterinary assistant in the emergency and critical care department at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus. She has been applying to veterinary school and, as of now, will be attending Colorado State University in August and participating in its combined DVM/MBA program. Since December, Liz, or Ms. Mathis, has also been a part-time algebra teacher at IHA!

Michelle Kaminski’16 is a full-time second-year Master of Public Health (MPH) candidate at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University in the Sociomedical Sciences Department with a certificate in global health. Additionally, she is a teaching assistant for two graduate courses in public health and works as a research assistant at the New York-Presbyterian Emergency and Pediatrics Department. After she graduates in May 2022, she will be looking for jobs in public health with the ultimate goal of becoming a public health physician.

Lisa Fuhrman’05 is a 2009 graduate of Manhattan College and a producer for New York Live, a daily half-hour live entertainment show on WNBC-TV in New York City. Lisa books, writes, edits, and produces celebrity interviews and in-studio segments; manages the day-to-day operations of the show in the studio and in the newsroom; and also regularly fills in line producing the show in the control room. Lisa also works on special projects, including scripting and producing NBC’s national coverage of the Tournament of Roses Parade for the past five years, New Year’s Eve 2021, and red carpet coverage of the Golden Globes and Emmy Awards.

Megan Brockmeier’17 is a 2021 graduate of Villanova University and marketing project lead at Unilever. Megan is a part of the Unilever Future Leaders Program (UFLP), a three-year rotational program. Her first and current rotation is on the Knorr Innovations Team, where she is a project lead for new products being launched in 2023.
