IHA Hearts of Hope Delivers to Three Organizations

On April 3, IHA HoH founder, Vanessa Pecora’21, visited with and delivered hearts to two homeless families assisted by Family Promise Bergen County while the families were temporarily housed at Temple Beth Or in Township of Washington. On April 15, IHA HoH co-founders, Vanessa and Madison DeStefano’21, delivered forty-five hearts to Several Sources in Ramsey, a shelter for abandoned moms and moms-to-be. “The moms were so appreciative of the gift and especially for the visit,” said Mrs. Jill Pecora P’21, English teacher and HoH faculty moderator. “Little Adella (pictured in the carrier at only three weeks old!) shows her heart on top of her blanket. The shelter kept the remaining hearts to give to future residents.”

And on April 26, Madison and Vanessa delivered fifteen hearts to The Valley Hospital NICU. They visited with the moms and babies, and spent time with the NICU nurses. Thank you to all of our students and faculty and staff members who dedicate their time to paint hearts for all those who need a little hope in their lives.
