Mr. Steve Ferro

Mr. Steve Ferro, IHA director of athletics, has been in education as both a teacher and coach for 29 years. He has coached boys and girls soccer, basketball, and spring track & field at Ramapo High School, within the Midland Park School District, and at Immaculate Heart. Mr. Ferro has a vast amount of experience to bring to the table, as he has coached in all three seasons and taught students in elementary, middle, and high school. He was a special education teacher within the Midland Park School District from 2004 to 2010, and, since 2010, teaches sixth grade science. As IHA’s newest director of athletics, he is proud to utilize his expertise and knowledge to help student-athletes find success and build confidence.

As the AD, Mr. Ferro stated that he is “honored to join a team of outstanding educators that leads with respect and dignity and is focused on the academics and character of its students. I am proud to be at an institution that upholds such important morals and values and, as the new director of athletics, I will hold myself to the same high standards.” He is thrilled to take his experience to the next level by enhancing the program’s growth and ensuring continued success. “I look forward to the challenge of overseeing our athletic teams and assisting our coaching staff in any way I can. IHA is an outstanding school and my plan is to continue to support and grow our programs.”
