Winter Track Team Competes at Nationals

Cheered on by track alumnae Maegan Feeney’22 and Olivia Salkowsky’22, the headline was the Shuttle Hurdle Relay team of Lauren Dunnigan’23, Olivia Battifarano’24, Sierra Tofts’25, and Anabella Martino’23, who placed 6th in the nation to earn IHA’s second All-American status in the event, following last year’s performance at New Balance Outdoor Nationals.

Olivia Tacconi’23 ran 8.04 seconds in the 60 Meter Dash to shatter the previous school record of 8.14 seconds which had stood for 14 years.

Abby Romero’24 soared in Triple Jump to a mark of 35 feet, 10.5 inches to break the previous school record which had stood for 15 years. Abby is the first jumper in IHA history to hold two jump records (Indoor long and triple) at the same time.

Leanna Johnston’23 continued her record-breaking season by setting a new school record in the 2 mile to place 10th in the nation.

The 4x200 Meter Relay team of Olivia Tacconi’23, Abby Romero’24, Lauren Dunnigan’23, and Sophia Ditchfield-Agboh’24 just missed breaking their own school record to place 11th in the nation out of more than 45 teams.
On to Spring Track and Outdoor Nationals (again)!
