The program opened with an invocation led by Margaret Dillon’22, NHS secretary, and congratulatory remarks from Erin Burke’22, NHS president. NHS executive board members led a candle lighting ceremony followed by the induction of new members by Katherine Mahoney’22, NHS vice president; Mrs. Melissa O’Sullivan, NHS moderator and director of college counseling; Miss Kerry Carroll’04, principal; Mrs. Alice Rogers P’07, ’09, ’13, assistant principal of students; and Mrs. Maureen Layng, assistant principal for academics. Kayla Arone’22 led the newly inducted members in the Honor Society pledge.

Miss Carroll then gave a touching keynote address before the induction of the new French Honor Society members by Margaret Dillon’22, French NHS president; Madelyn Panebianco’22, secretary; and Mrs. Eileen Ingoglia, moderator and French teacher, and the new Spanish Honor Society members by Daniella Osorio’23, Spanish NHS president; Isabella Conde’23, secretary; and Ms. Ana Echeverría, moderator and Spanish teacher. The ceremony concluded with Alyssa Darella’22 singing the IHA Alma Mater, accompanied by Layla Libanan’23.
