St. Brigid Society Visits Liberty Science Center

While there, the IHA students attended the Live from Cardiac Surgery Classroom, an educational program hosted in collaboration with Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at Morristown Medical Center, that allows middle and high school students to watch open-heart bypass surgery as it happens in real-time. Students are able to ask the surgical team questions while they view the team performing an operation.

The St. Brigid Society members, chaperoned by society moderator and guidance counselor, Ms. Ellen Donoghue’76, and information management specialist and engineering teacher, Mrs. Alice Nudleman, were also able to explore the other exhibits in Liberty Science Center during their visit.
