Mrs. Liana Macedo is a member of the English Department at IHA. She earned a B.A. degree in English from Monmouth University, and an M.A.T. degree in curriculum and instruction from Marygrove College. Mrs. Macedo worked as a behaviorist for autistic children while at Monmouth University earning her B.A. She was a middle school English teacher for nine years and a high school English teacher for the last five years. She is also a den leader and assistant den leader for her two sons' Cub Scouts packs.
Mrs. Macedo said she is excited to share her passion for literature with her students. "I want my students to find that the classic texts not only teach us so much about the time in which they were written, but can also be imperative to learning and guiding us today."
