The quality and diversity of the school community depend on IHA’s ability to admit qualified young women whose families are economically challenged – and to help families who suffer hardships during their daughters’ IHA careers. Tuition revenues are earmarked solely for operating expenses, and therefore do not contribute to financial aid or scholarships.
Donors wishing to help students in need and, at the same time, establish a lasting memorial may endow a scholarship. The scholarship may be established in your name or the name of the individual or family you wish to honor. By definition, an endowed scholarship is one in which the principal remains intact and only the interest is awarded each year. Once established, your scholarship will be managed by the school. Your endowment creates a permanent funding source that will support deserving students today and in the future. If you are interested in establishing an endowed scholarship in someone's honor, please contact Angelique Morelli, Director of Institutional Advancement, at 201.445.6800, ext. 185.
The One-on-One Scholarship Program began more than 20 years ago by the generosity of the late Dr. Theodore and Mrs. Bauer. This scholarship provides full-tuition scholarships to students with financial need. If you are financially able to sponsor a student for four years, please consider the One-on-One program. This scholarship program also benefits from corporate Matching Gifts.
IHA has earned the trust of alumnae, parents, and friends through careful management of school finances and by investing every philanthropic dollar into school improvements or our scholarship endowment. IHA does not receive any financial subsidy from the Archdiocese of Newark.
