Earlier this summer, 25 IHA students had the opportunity to travel to Bavaria, Tyrol, and Switzerland during Immaculate Heart Academyu2019s 2016 Europe Trip. The group was led by faculty member, Ms. Ana Echeverru00EDa, who was assisted by chaperones and teachers, Ms. Geri Braden, Ms. Maru00EDa Daly-Valls, and Ms. Carolina Santamaria.
The group explored the medieval city of Rothenburg, Germany and then toured architectural monuments and Romanesque, Renaissance, and Baroque churches of Munich, Germany. They visited Neuschwanstein Castle, the nineteenth-century Romanesque Revival palace of Prince Ludwig II in Bavaria, the place that inspired Walt Disney to create the Magic Kingdom. In Innsbruck, Austria, IHA students enjoyed a performance of Austrian folkloric dance and music. In Lake Lucerne, Switzerland, the group took a day excursion to the summit of Mt. Pilatus at 7,000 feet via a cogwheel railway, aerial cableway, and a panorama gondola. Special thanks to ACIS Tour Manager, Simon Dupreu00E9 and IHA Class of 2016 graduate, Rebecca Kryceski, ACIS Student Ambassador.
