The IHA Tennis Team did an amazing job during the 2025 season. One of our captains, Anna Kuchar ’26, earned the top spot on the team and did a great job of holding down 1st Singles despite the difficulty of competing against the top players of every school. The highlight of this season was winning the entire Invitational Tournament, after a very intense three-hour match against Saddle River Day, where IHA’s 3rd Singles Madeline Edelson ’27 was able to outplay Saddle River Day and win. Out of 16 teams that participated in the tournament, IHA Tennis ended up winning the entire Invitational tournament with a total number of 16 wins in all. Anna Kuchar ’26 got through to the second round; Katarina Van Tassel ’27 won first place at 2nd Singles; Madeline Edelson ’27 won first place at 3rd Singles; Brooke Greenberg ’27 and Sabrina Freda ’28 won first place at 1st Doubles; and Emma Bossbaly ’26 and Chloe Manoukian ’28 won second place at 2nd Singles. We have a lot of promising players on the team as well as on JV. We are sad to lose our team captains, Anna Kuchar ’26 and Emma Bossbaly ’26, as they head off to college, but our returning players will come back ready and stronger next season. The IHA JV Tennis Team finished the season with an impressive 10-2 record and showed a lot of promise and determination to go up to the next level, especially after defeating our rival, Holy Angels.
