Ms. Shemayne Williams

Ms. Shemayne Williams, physical education teacher and Black Culture Club moderator, received a B.S. degree in marketing and a master's degree in sports administration, both from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is a United States Track and Field member, runs for Adidas Southwest Sprinters, and is a member of WISE (Women in Sports and Events), N.Y. Metro Chapter.

Ms. Williams said she appreciates the professionalism and integrity of the faculty and staff at IHA. "I continue to learn and grow from colleagues that have knowledge in their craft exponentially. I wish I could be a student at IHA at times; the energy and enthusiasm of students are often contagious."

Ms. Williams also said she has established great relationships with most of the alumnae that she has had the pleasure to teach. In fact, the first graduating class she had in 2002 coined the phrase "A.P. Gym," which her class is still known as today.
