Ms. Linda Chelotti '76

Ms. Linda Chelotti '76 is the Social Studies Department chairperson, J.V. Lacrosse coach, and moderator of the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society and Law Society at IHA. She received a B.A. degree in psychology from Loyola University, an M.A. degree in child development from the University of Delaware, and an M.A.T. degree from Montclair State University.

Before teaching at IHA, Ms. Chelotti worked as a Child Life Therapist in Newark Beth Israel Medical Center providing psycho-social support for pediatric patients including terminally ill youth. She also worked for more than 25 years as an executive director/CEO of non-profits on both the east and west coasts. She developed, implemented, and oversaw programs such as an HIV/AIDS hospice, urban youth programs, senior housing, and domestic violence. She left non-profit work in 2006 to pursue a Master of Arts in teaching.

Ms. Chelotti was a 12-letter varsity athlete in college and she has now coached lacrosse for thirteen years (eleven as the J.V. lacrosse coach at IHA and two as the varsity lacrosse coach at AHA). Coaching was what drew her to teaching, which she has been doing now for more than a decade.
